Submission for the GameDev.tv Community Jam. The theme was "Time".
It's too hard, the hit boxes are awful, the control scheme is as bad as the level design and the tile art is glitchy. There's also a game breaking bug with the last powerup, lol. Source code is long gone :/
This is also my favorite game to date. It's a game with a story, combat, upgrades, exploration and even a boss fight. The animations took so much time to get "right" and I love the way everything came together, as janky as it is.

Hey! I saw your game at the jam, this is my personal account. I really really love your intro and especially end scene. I think we have similar senses of humor and I'd be very honored if you took a look at my text adventure :D (completely unrelated to the jam.) Also you totally deserved to be in the top 5 at least, I especially checked for your game and was bummed to see it wasn't at the top 5 :)
